This teapot was developed based on the duozhi teapot (see the last installment of teapot shapes series). As we said, duo means ‚to put‘. With this teapot, the emphasis is on the sphere shape of its body, lid and lid knob – three spheres ‚put‘ or stacked together.
The teapot opening is a lot smaller than with the duozhi teapot. The sphere shape is also implied in the curved spout and handle.
