Tea is a necessity. It is good to have it confirmed by an ancient Chinese text. An old saying lists seven essential items of daily live: firewood, rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar and tea. This saying was first found in a book called 'Meng Hua Lu' from the Song Dynasty. There are rumors that there was actually an eighth item on the list: alcohol. If it was ever on the list, it got removed at some point, but tea is here to stay.
