While the name seems rather poetic, suggest something along the line of a person sitting idly in a pavilion, sighing and thinking of a long lost lover, sadly sipping tea, don\u2019t be fooled: This teapot is named after its creator \u9646\u601d\u4ead Lu Siting. This potter lived during the early Qing Dynasty and modified the pear-shaped teapot, elongating it and giving it more vertical dimension and more pronounced curves. The main difference compared to the pear-shaped teapot is a distinctive vertical \u2018neck\u2019 section, connecting the smaller lid section and fuller bottom section, both of which resemble a sphere. To match those lines, the spout also got changed to a three-curved-spout. This teapot shape is distinctive and very popular, especially for small teapots as it is quite elegant. The lid knob is also fuller and more spherical, mirroring the overall teapot shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
